Easy tool to monitor ETH0 on my server?

Hello.
I'm looking for a really simple tool to monitor how much is transfered trough eth0 on my server.

It doesn't have to be web based but it should remember the total transfered after each restart and so on (no resetting)

also if there is one that shows how much is transfered each week / month that wouldn't be too bad either

Thanks for your help

Try vnstat with vnstat php frontend, it's designed just for the purpose you've mentioned and very light/easy.

You can just use this command if you don't want to use up any CPU cycles with heavier programs like ntop (not that it's very heavy, but it's not as light as this!):

Code:
cat /proc/net/dev
