e4defrag with -f and -r options

I've seen on the Internet that e4defrag also can have a '-r' option to move files in the same directory close together, and a '-f' option which will defragment free space.

The version I pulled from GIT doesn't have these options, and the patches I've seen can't be applied.

Does anyone know how I can get e4defrag working with these options? Due to issues with a large partition, I could really use them.

Perhaps you saw this reference: http://events.linuxfoundation.org/sl...ta.pdf#page=28

Note the following points stated on that page:

Quote:
Patches related to relevant file defrag (e4defrag -r) are under review.
Quote:
Implement free space defragmentation (e4defrag -f) We might implement this feature when the relevant defrag development is completed.
I will agree that the copyright on the document is 2010, so therefore the question remains as to whether or not these steps have been taken; however they start their document noting that eventually a newer file system will be employed. So it may be that they put aside any update efforts, probably have the code in their local copies and haven't released it, may never; and are concentrating on other file system efforts.
