dvbmwput(): MC_MOREDATA above threshold. 16384 bytes discarded

I am running 2.4.18-5 kernel on my server (Red Hat 7.3 distro with upgraded kernel). Occassionally I see the message

"kernel: dvbmwput(): MC_MOREDATA above threshold. 16384 bytes discarded"

Any of you have seen this before? What does this mean? How does this impact my server?

Any useful pointers is much appreciated.

Best regards

Srini

Question dvbmwput

Hi,

I have been using dialogic voice boards and they seem to be causing the problem. However I didn't find any solution. Did you get any information about dvbmwput() function ?

I would appreciate some help a lot !

Thanks
ff

Sorry, I have not had any luck or response from other users yet. The brighter side is that it is not impacting the behavior of the Dialogic system. If I find any specific information on the problem I will definitely post it.

Best of luck

Thanks

Thanks,

Unfortunately it does affect dialogic fax board behaviour. When trying to send a fax (from tiff file) dialogic driver fails when tiff file is too heavy. It seems a buffer capacity is somehow reached, because lighter tiff files are sent OK.
