Think of it like an easter egg. It's probably a perl script which changes it when 'microsoft' is typed in lower case.

Here's another one. (Although I haven't tried it myself).

Create a new account under BASH called 'Tyler'.
Login as Tyler.
type 'reboot' or 'halt'

just before the system switches to runlevel 6 you'll see a message

"Oh, hello Mr. Tyler - going DOWN?"

I think there's someone on the dev team who like Aerosmith.
