I have installed RH7.2 on my hda3 with lilo on the MBR and have now installed RH7.2 (using Reiser file system) on another harddrive (hdb1).
I edited lilo.conf to include my new Linux (Reiserfs) but it seems to be looking for the root on my original installation (hda/hda3) when I select to boot from the new Linux.
Is it possible to do this type of dual booting and what would I have to edit in the lilo.conf to make it boot from hdb1 ( I have Windows installed on hda1 and everything is working fine)?
I figured it out...I needed to add to my image line in my lilo.conf that the root was located in /dev/hdb1/....
That still didn't work until I reformated the harddrive using ext3 and reinstalled the kernel...and that worked!!
Looks like RH7.2 does not boot when the harddrive is formatted using the ReiserFS.
