hi all,
i got this the other day and don't know what it means other than it refers to the drives. this is a older 200 mhz machine with a fresh RH9 install.
hdc: timeout waiting for DMA

hdc: status timeout: error=0xd0LastFailedSense 0x0d
hdc: drive not ready for command
hdc: ATAPI reset complete
[root@localhost cdrom]# hda: dma_timer_expiry: dma status == 0x21
hda: timeout waiting for DMA

hda: drive not ready for command
this has happend a few times before sometimes with longer messages. this occured while copying a file from a cd to the hard drive. any help is appreciated.
