Drag windows above top of screen in Gnome

By default Gnome doesn't let you drag a window above the top of the screen. Sometimes I have to work on a low resolution and because most apps have the ok and cancel buttons at the bottom the screen they are below the bottom and the only way to reach them (for a person without psychic powers) is to alt-drag the window up above the top. Is there a way to allow this in Gnome (>= 2.8.2)?

Thanks in advance.

I was reading a forum topic (in another forum) and this idea came up. It looks like you still can't do what you're asking. Which is stupid because not everything will fit in the screen at some resolutions. Hell, even windows lets you drag outside the screen. Sadly the Gnome attitude seems to be "It's never gnome's fault, it's the other apps don't conform to our standards" (e.g. being able to edit your own menu).

I was hoping that there's like a gconf option or something. This is really a dumb "feature".

I agree. I didn't discover it until I put gnome on my mom's PC and she set the res to 800x600. Thunderbird's options don't fit in that size.
