I sent an updated version to the admin section and (quite rightly) they probably thought I was rude to Rick for asking him to cease activity after 2 months and quite likely they regard me as rude for giving the team even less time to either
take over my amended file, or reply and say what they wanted changing, or reject the offer.

In hindsight, their response indicates I was not up to their level of sysadmin skills and politeness. I respect their response and cease all activity of the howto. I did however, gift full license the the team in case they decide to amend it. As I respect their response I have removed the old file links. I will not maintain the wiki or the old links.

I leave the wiki as is...for anyone to edit if they have the time.

If this upsets anyone, do not mail me as I am a little upset myself. Now where are my calming pills?

If it will help, my feelings weren't hurt. I hadn't had time to do the things I hoped & considering you had the courtesy to send at least one e-mail before posting anything publicly, I thought you behaved well. Yes, more time would have been nice, but it was your project.

As to your language, "rude" is not the right word, "direct" is much more like how I took it; on a sensitive day, you might squeeze a "brusque" out of me, but not "rude", no way.

Now, for everyone's convenience, how about those links? Even the wiki.

Same here, though of course I'm no directly concerned party. Couldn't we all tune down sentiments and get to the learning stuff, please?

As for the links, could we please have them back? After all, there are howtos, man-derivates, handbooks ... galore in the net, so why not yours?

Usually alternative instructions complement each other and I can see no reason why you should not post your own version. It will simply live (or die) by its merits and maybe later it can be augmented by somebody else (again, or not...). I considered it readable and helpful if that's of any worth.

Anyway, happy new year to all of you.

I will not maintain that wiki anymore so you can find it merely by searching the wiki link at right hand side.

but glad to hear from you Rick.

So have reconsidered, what I was attempting to do, was get the RKH team to accept the odt. Well you are right, so I break my promise as they have not responded to me. Here is the very amended file now only 80 kilobytes

2) JZL240I-U I have just done another post on a very early draft on tripwire. Here is the link. Feel free to email me thru LQ if you know how to use TW.

edit

all divshare accounts now closed as I prefer Ripway which has no ads.

new link is
