double postings

hello all,

i would just like to draw the attention of the crowds for one moment, in recent visits i have noticed that some users are posting their question to two forums at the same time.

now i know i am not a moderator, but aren't there some sort of rules to this?

please would it be possible for these users to post once then the question does not get answered the same way twice?

does any one have any oppinions on this?

thank you,
antken

well the moderators usually end up closing one of the two threads from what i am used to seeing...
of course there is no need for a double post but for the most part i don't think people mean it (unless they post the same Q in another fourm) but in turn i think they are just impatient and don't realize that there connection may have timed out for a brief period and they think that hitting the submint button didn't work the first time and so they go and press the button agian.
so in closing i think people have to realize that the computer didn't ignore their mouse pressing the submit button and they should wait the extra couple of seconds and let it do its thing instead of repeatedly hitting the submit button just because the new post didn't pop up instantaneous in front of their eyes..

we try to mark as many occurences as possible, normally with the message below. it's hard to find them all though, and yes it IS against the rules, and yes it IS written on the new thread page, and no they never pay any attention....

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
