Talking domain name

I am using Red Hat Linux 6.2. I want to surf the net, using linux. It has
detected the modem. Now,while configuring to access internet, under DNS
Servers section, I have to enter the Domain name in the text box.
Suppose,my Username is XYZ and my email ID for corresponding ISP is XYZ@isp.net
Can someone tell me, what should I enter, in the Domain name text box.
Send your suggestions to viv@geek.com

I believe in most cases you can actually leave that blank and it will still work. What are u using, dialup modem or Cable/DSL???? If its dialup, you can definitly leave the domain blank, it depends if using cable/DSL by the ISP.
