DNS suffix
 
hi
I have centos4.3,and install qmail as mail server.
my system should has a name under some special domain.
in a wnidows system,that is not problem.but in linux and centos I dont know how can I have a DNS suffix for my system?
is there any suggestion?

I guess I'm not following in what your actually asking.. are you asking if your machines hostname can actually have .com or .net or whatever suffix you want for the actual hostname? Or are you talking about setting up a web domain or mail domain on this machine to recieve real world fully qualified domain requests?

hi.I install qmail and this system wanna to be a mail server of a LAN.I want that DNS server send the mail requests to this system.
for this I should a member of somedomain.and systems that member of
this domain can also see me.
