Distro's for Older hardware ?

I was just going through digg.com/ and spotted this link about distros that work on older hardware.

If it's been posted before, then apologies because I couldn't find it anywhere. Though I thought it might come in handy for anyone looking for this kind of info - I'm well aware that people often want to try linux, but only want to commit hardware that's pretty much had it as far as windows is concerned.

Maybe, if one of the "Mods" thinks it should be in a different forum then heh! put it where you think best. I just thought that linux general was appropriate as it's hardware and software related.

regards

John
