Question Disk Space?


Hi Everyone!!



I would like to know if Redhat 8.0 have a kind of program to free disk space?,

or what can I do to free space disk?

what do you mean free disk space? you want to remove some packages or what??

I mean to delete all temporary files and everything that is temp!!!

for free space, run this command
df -h
i think df stands for disk free, man it
man df
df by itself is all in bytes and is quite confusing.

That doesn't actually "free" any space, it simply reports what is available. As far a pruning your system there are some options. You have:
http://freshmeat.net/projects/cachedir/ and
http://freshmeat.net/projects/kdirstat/
amongst others, but that's probably sufficient
