Disable kudzu for printer

Using Fedora C1 on my IBM laptop. When I'm in the office, I have an HP LaserJet 6L attached to my paralell port (which works fine). When I take the laptop home and boot up, kudzu always complains that it can't see my printer anymore and wants to know if I want to continue the boot or delete the device. I just tell it to continure to boot or let it time out and it boots fine. I'm just tired of having to answer this question every time I'm away from the office.

Is there any way to tell kudzu to ignore the printer?

Question How do you disable kudzu?

I want to disable the drive autodetection of Mandrake. Mandrake keeps moving the usb drives around (5 in 1 card reader and a 1.5Gb usbkey drive). My friend has a necessary Windows app that is run via Win4Lin - the data stays on the usbkey drive, there is a drive "mapped" to a directory on the usbkey drive in windows.
Sometimes the usbkey drive will be sda1 (/mnt/removable) other times it'll be sde1 (/mnt/removable3) It is a pain to track it down. I need the usbkey drive to stay put.
I have disabled harddrake and hotplug, this seemed to work for about a month, then supermount drives appeared in the carefully modified fstab. I guess supermount has to be disabled too...
I either need the usbkey to always be sda1, or have no usb drives autodetected or defined and I will setup a sudo to mount the drive when it is needed. I just want the magic to stop...Help!
