dhcp restart error

Hey guys,
After I changed the dhcpd.conf
subnet 192.168.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
range 192.168.1.2 192.168.1.60;
default-lease-time 86400;
max-lease-time 86400;
option routers 192.168.1.1;
option ip-forwarding off;
option broadcast-address 192.168.1.255;
option subnet-mask 255.255.255.0;
option domain-name-servers 192.168.1.1;
option domain-name-servers 146.7.7.77,146.8.8.88,131.141.254.243,128.206.2.25
2,150.199.199.1;
option netbios-name-servers 192.168.1.1;
option netbios-dd-server 192.168.1.1;
option netbios-node-type 8;
option netbios-scope "";
}
When I tried dhcpd restart.
It prompted out the follwoing error:
Listening on Socket/eth1/192.168.1.0
Sending on Socket/eth1/192.168.1.0
No subnet declaration for eth0 (146.7.154.230).
Please write a subnet declaration in your dhcpd.conf file for the
network segment to which interface eth0 is attached.
exiting. Any idea guys

Thank you

It looks like you started dhcpd with:

dhcpd

or

dhcpd -cf /home/bob/dhdpd.conf

By default dhcpd will try to broadcast on every ethernet device... supply the eth device as an argument and it will only use that one. For instance:

dhcpd eth1 -cf /etc/dhdpd.conf

Cheers,

Finegan

Or, on second thought... it might not like two declarations of option nameservers and you may have to put the 192.168.0.1 in with the other comma delineated list.
