Well, this is sort of a .. good luck, sort of situation. As llinux doesnt really have any device drivers such as windows has. It more or less has programs that can figure out how to use your devices.
Battery life and audio is easy. You have a laptop, you have no battery life or audio? That means you have acpi, which is probably listed right in your computer specifications. Since you are using redhat, and redhat offers no acpi support what-so-ever. You'll have to go fetch a tutorial on recompiling your kernel with acpi patches installed.
If the mouse isnt working? Internal? External. It just means you did something wrong in setting up redhat. playing with the mouse settings should help.
