/dev/dvb is gone at startup, how to make it read only ?

Hi All,

Finally got my Nova-t USB working !

But, every time I restart Linux, my /dev/dvb folder is gone and is no where to be seen, does anyone know why ?

I'd like to make it read-only, how do I go about doing that ?

Many Thanks,

Karl.

here ...

come in to shell ...

open folder
/mnt
and mkdir dvb

after it write this command
mount /dev/dvb mnt/dvb

after it open
/etc/fstab
and fill the last row with your new device if you want to do it read only so write "owner" in the right place
good luck

hope i help ...

Hey, can you tell me how you managed to get it working? I'm running Mandrake 10 and I have the PCI-version and while I can get the /dev/dvb/adapter* appear (after loading all the modules and restarting devfsd), all the programs say that /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0 does not exist or can't be opened, even if it DOES exist and I have the correct permissions set.

What is wrong??? Everything seems to work so well with the hardware, yet no program can use the card. Getting so frustrated with this.
