/dev/dsp problem for kde in kernel 2.6

now that i have fixed my sound problem by upgrading all my alsa driver, alsa lib and alsa util
(compiled alsa directly into kernel 2.6 with oss emu support)
after that installed xmms-alsa and from that on i can have sound can play mp3 using xmms

the problem is that from the begining kde always report to me that /dev/dsp not found, it popup when login at splash screen of kde.

what is dsp?
how to i fix this?

and i used to add kdemixer on to slicker which i added another child tasbar and inset a kdemixer, but now i cant set the hardware for that mixer.
how to i add alsamixer to my slicker (child taskbar)?
how do i fix this too..

I got the same problem with you after upgrading to kernel 2.6.7.

Below is me modules.conf

Code:
# --- BEGIN: Generated by ALSACONF, do not edit. ---
# --- ALSACONF verion 0.9.0 ---
alias char-major-116 snd
alias snd-card-0 snd-emu10k1
alias char-major-14 soundcore
alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0
alias sound-service-0-0 snd-mixer-oss
alias sound-service-0-1 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-3 snd-pcm-oss
alias sound-service-0-8 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-12 snd-pcm-oss
options snd major=116 cards_limit=1
options snd-emu10k1 index=0
# --- END: Generated by ALSACONF, do not edit. ---

alias char-major-195 nvidia
And results from lsmod.

Code:
