Deleting old kernel and removing it from boot loader?

Ok. I updated my kernel in Red Hat 8. Now is there a way to remove the old one from the boot loader list and "uninstall" the old one? Thanks.

Using Lilo.

yes, edit /etc/lilo.conf and remove the relevant entires, then uninstall the old package with "rpm -e packagename"

I tried removing the entries but it still shows up in the boot loader. What am I doing wrong?

Plus, the old kernel was 2.4.18-14, when I tried to remove it it said it didn't exist. Do I need the path file with it? Or do I just type the version number to remove?

Specifically, what lines should I remove from lilo.conf?

The other choice shows up as linux.bak, and when I select it, it boots to the old kernel.
