Dedicated Website for Slackware

I would like to know if anyone here interested in starting up a dedicated website for Slackware "Questions and Answers" a bit different approach than a forum with a tutorial section? I'm planning to buy the domain name and willing to pay hosting fees but I might need help with development process. If anyone interested and think it's appropriate drop me a line or reply here thanks in advance. It's not to compete with this website or anyone else it would be much better to have a dedicated site IMO

What would you provide that doesn't already exist? The LQ Slackware forum is as close as you can get to an official support channel without it being official, the Cardinal Crew hosts SBo (and its associated projects), the Slack Book Project and Alien Bob's and Robby's personal web sites/blogs/repositories (all of which are treasure troves of information), and Erik Hanson runs SlackWiki. Many, if not most, of these people are either involved officially with Slackware in some capacity or are long-term unofficial contributors. There certainly exists the problem that these resources are scattered and often don't link to each other, but I don't think the solution is to reinvent the wheel: if the Slackware support page linked to all of these sites with the explicit warning that Slackware Linux, Inc. could not be held responsible for the advice provided by any of them, I think that would be enough.

My first question is what experience level do you have with Slackware? As CTM clearly points out that the community here at official LQ Slackware forum there are multitude of supporters. Both in repository support, contributing Slackware team members and a multitude of community support members.

As to my contribution: I originally started 'SlackwareŽ LQ Suggestions Links! which is the original list of links that evolved to SlackwareŽ-Links.

Personally my support here at LQ started back 2005 because of the stability, morality and trash on Usenet support lists. My point is that with my experience with Slack beginning from the start. I really cannot see how your TechDesk support web site would provide any real Slackware support that is not already available.

From my opinion and view point your site would require injection from other experienced Slackware users. Myself, I already feel my contributions now are more than sufficient and sometimes exceed beyond original intent. I cannot speak for other LQ Slackware forum members.

Look at 'So you want to be a Slacker! What do I do next?' sticky. This originally was a thread to bring a point for update material, user notes and other Slackware support needs or notices for a broad audience. Our LQ Slackware forum is viable and useful to old and new Slackware users.

I really think you should look through the support here at LQ for Slackware by all participants.
Not to discourage you but think it through a bit more.
