Hi,
I got the same fate yesterday.
Begin: Running /scripts/init-bottom ...
mount: Mounting /root/dev on /dev/.static/dev failed: No such file or directory
mount: Mounting /proc on /root/proc failed: No such file or directory
Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init
BusyBox v1.1.3 (Debian 1:1.1.3-4) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.
/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
(initramfs)
I've searched on the error message and most say its with hard drive error and that ISO was not created correctly.
I will try the Hitachi Drive Fitness Test, if my hard disk is still ok, I am thinking of reformatting the hard disk and reinstalling. Is that a possible action plan with this error message? How can I go for reformat if I am stuck in this error message and I can't do anything. Is there a command or key I should press to halt the boot up and proceed with formatting?
Thanks so much.
