dd command

Hi all

I'm trying to output a ISO file(ISO-9959 text, with very long lines, with no terminators) to a text file using dd comand.

The output file is wrapping. What can I do to keep the output file fixed at 80 column with?

How about piping the text through something like troff?
I'm no expert on dd, but not sure it can do it on its own.

dd is not for copying files, although it will certainly do that. dd copies BYTES--regardless of content. There is no formatting.
