date/time in openSUSE

i recently upgraded to openSUSE 11.0
by mistake in installation i checked Time set to UTC due to which my OS clock goes 5:30 hrs fast then hardware/normal clock

i have tried various times to edit this using yast but it never worked i have also deleted the adjtime file from /etc still its not working

for a temp sol i have set the clock to GMT and then changed the time, its now working fine but current time is shown as GMT which is actually GMT + 5:30

Do you use multiple OS on one box ?
If you do so set time and dates in all the OS in the same way.
If not you affected the settings by rebooting in a other OS especially when also you use Windosz

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:19 AM.
