data restoration

i had a reiserfs partition on /dev/hdc3
i deleted that partition
now i created a new linux partition on that free space and i got
/dev/hdc2
i didn't do any mkreiserfs or anything on it
and i want to restore data from the original partition
how can i do such a thing?

Did you backup the data prior to deleting /dev/hdc3?
If hdc2 and hdc3 use the exact same space it might be doable.

Do not know if this tool will help.
