Question CVS Server Installation Question

Hi,

I would really appreciate if somebody could answer the following questions:

1. Is it a good practice to have your entire code in a CVS repository (including website code - html/js/php)?

2. What is the difference between pserver and extssh access mechanisms in CVS? Which one is better and more secure?

3. Where could I find a detailed installation guide for CVS Server?

I am using Ubuntu 6.06 Server on one machine and CentOS 4.4 on the other. Therefore, I would like to know both apt-get and yum install mechanism for installing a CVS server.

Thanks in advance.

1. Yes
2. SSH is more secure and still uses pserve (I think)
3. Google, here

Unless there is a specific reason to use CVS, I would recommend using Subversion.
