customizing KDE Panel and Right Click Menu

Hello
I have KDE 3.2 installed on my Gentoo machine. I am knew to customizing KDE, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I go about applying a theme of some sort to change the look of the KDE Panel (the bar across the bottom with all my apps/the KDE menu). Furthermore, I was curious if anyone knew how to change the menu options that are available when I right click on my desktop... So I could right click on my desktop and have a customized list of actions to perform(such as open a terminal/game/app). If you have any help or can point me in the right direction to figuring these things out, it would be greatly appriciated. Thank you
