Customize panel in Xubuntu

Hi!

I'm a happy Xubuntu user but there is one thing I find hard to live with.

The panel. I just can't make it look good.

How do I change the panel to look something like this?
http://www.xfce-look.org/content/show.php?content=43023

I have installed the theme but it only changed the window borders.

Kind Regards
/Bernt

If your borders are OK...then I'd suggest changing your GTK theme and possibly your icons.

You can change your gtk theme easily by installing gtk-chtheme

GNOME-look.org has some good themes for both icons and GTK 2+.

Ok, thanks.

Now, how do I install it?

Also find information on edit the ~/.gtkrc-2.0 but I don't have that file.
Can I create it?

you can just create ~/.gtkrc-2.0

Code:
touch ~/.gtkrc-2.0
Xubuntu probably has gtk-chtheme in it's repositories, so:
Code:
apt-get install gtk-chteme
I use both openbox and xfce and the tips from here keep GTK apps looking good in both.

I did'nt find it in the repositories.

Where can I find information about the ~/.gtkrc-2.0?

A theme that change the panel would be nice to. I really like the panel in the Xfce-dusk theme but the rest is to dark.

Is it possible to copy the panel conf from the dusk theme to my ~/.gtkrc-2.0?

Mvh
