Customizable Live CD for Web Kiosk Use?
I've found EZWebPC at LiveKiosk to be very useful, but I'd like to customize a distro similar to that with a whitelist of acceptable domains, and a specific homepage.
I basically want to be able to put a Live CD in each of our 10 kiosk computers (with no hard drives) and turn them on, having them boot automatically into linux, and opening a firefox window to a specific page. Then, when they close the browser, it resets everything and opens another browser window.
The computers also need to be able to print to an HP network printer that has its own IP.
I also want them to only access websites from a handful of domains. (those who run publically available kiosks will know why)
The goal being, and issues can be resolved with a simple reboot, and the computer is locked down while being customized enough to do everything we need it to.
Is there any distro good for this, and how would I go about customizing it to do so?
EDIT: I have not tried linux-live.org's linux live scripts, but also haven't found any oversimplified tutorials on how to use it (I'm still somewhat a newbie, as many of us are), although the debian bootCD looks interesting, with the exception of whether or not it would work on different PCs with different hardware.
