Customised Linux

Hey,

Currently at home I have a asterisk box (open source telephony server) running on suse 10.3. Over the last few years I have modified the system to my liking making changes in various config files (specifically asterisk). What I want to do now is create a install CD (possibly based on Federa Core) that installs asterisk but installs it with all my custom configuration files. If possible I would like to be able to have an option during the install which will allow me to select which asterisk configuration files I want to install (I may have one set with limited options and another set of config files will all the features). I hope you can understand what im trying to do and help would be much appriciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

This is easily done with kickstart files, I have various custom builds defined for name servers, mail servers, spam filtering gateways etc, you may want to use an EL build (CentOS ..?) instead of Fedora though

cheers
