Cursor hot spot won't stay put!
I am using SuSE Linux V. 8, and every now and then, the hot spot on the arrow cursor moves about 100 pixels to the left- which means that I must click about 100 pixels to the right of any button that I want to click. This behavior shows up all of a sudden, and it can happen at any time. Sometimes it disappears on its own, just as suddenly. There is no way to make this behavior go away, other than to reboot the computer- no, logging out and logging back in does not do it, nor does simply restarting the X-Server.
Please, could somebody make a suggestion as to what I can do about this? It is driving me crazy. Before you ask, no, it is not a hardware problem- I recently switched out the mouse, and the problem persists. And no, I am not using a flat-screen monitor.
Thanks in advance,
Mark Hall
