CUPS client configuration for printing to Windows Print Server
Since last few weeks i am struggling to setup printer connected to print server and any help/advise would be appreciated.
Here is the setup that i have: I have Red Hat Linux machine from which i want to issue print jobs. I have Windows Print Server having multiple printers connected to it. I am able to print jobs from Windows client to any of these printers. But i am not able to print from Red Hat Linux. (i have verified that i can print using smbclient utility, but based on my reading, CUPS API could be used from application to discover, print and issue print jobs.) I am not able to get the correct configuration for setting up CUPS client. Can you kindly advise on this? |
Hi nsvora, Have you tried this?

Thanks peacedog,
I have tried using smbclient and that is working fine. But i need to do it programmatically and i thought CUPS would do that. Any clue on how to do it using CUPS API? Can it be done using any API - because i need capability to do this programatically? |
You're Welcome. Maybe this will help?
