cross distro Linux discussion forum

I am looking for a good cross distro Linux discussion forum. It seems that in the decade after the 90's Linux users have been more and more segregated by distro.

In my opinion: Often the the question is how to I get Hardware X to work with my computer. In those cases I distro based forum is the best way to solve those type of problems. However If the question about a what apps are available then narrowing the audience is not a good way to find the best answer.

Well, I think this is the place I often find answers to my problems or queries under other distros on this site or have my questions answered by people who use other distros. [Hopefully I've helped others with other distros too.]
I hope you find this site as helpful as I do, Welcome!

There are several general Linux fora that I am aware of and probably many more. However, all of the ones I have seen are primarily question and answer oriented, not discussion oriented. And most of them have a low level of activity. With the growth of Linux, it is natural that users of each distro congregate in distro-specific communities. That is the best place to get support, and some of those boards also have thriving discussion sections. The result is the general trend to distro segregation that you mentioned. Unfortunately, there are not many places for pan-Linux discussion that have a member base large enough to make discussions worthwhile.

Note: I am emphasising discussion, not answers to technical questions. Although the boards I have seen still suffer from a small member base, resulting in questions taking a long time to get answers.
