Copy and paste


I can't seem to copy and paste across different windows, it works within a window but thats all. Is there anyway to change this? I use slackware 8.0

copy and paste how? copy - select text with mouse, paste - middle click at destination

And if you don't have a middle mouse button or scroller, most likely your emulating 3 buttons and you can click both left and right to act like the middle mouse button.

Yeah, I couldn't copy n' paste on Mandrake 9.x, either. There's a limitation in there somewhere, but I'm not sure why or how.

sorry, yall got me wrong. I meant to say copy and paste from the terminal window to other windows, the regular copy and paste methods dont work.
