Context switches

Hello,
I use KDE system guard and after creating a new blank sheet on the right-hand panel I drag the Context Switches value from the left-hand side to the sheet and I get a value "n" : what does that mean? That I have "n" context switches every WHAT?? (second/millisecond??)
Any help welcome.
Julien.
