Angry Console shortcuts not working.

Hello community peoples.

Just a quick 'how the hell do I do this' type question.

On most bash enabled consoles, I can do CTRL+L to clear the screen or CTRL+K to cut text where the cursor is, but with a few new workstations I've installed, these shortcut keys aren't working, and it's very odd behavior considering they're clones - no changes to any config files of any sort.

Aside of the 'reset' command, is there a file I can edit to change console shortcut behavior, or is this hardcoded stuff?

Thanks!

-Jeff

This would depend on which console you are using (Konsole, Eterm, Xterm, ...etc).
In Konsole you just click on the 'Settings' tab and then click 'Configure Shortcuts...'
You may also find the answer in a man page if one was supplied with you console.

just type:
man console_command

Hope this helps...
