Connection to server X.X.X.X timed out in thunderbird

Dear guru,

I am using FC7 from its releasing with postfix mail server and Thunderbird as mail client.

Running good for me and my user.

But Today usually I start my FC7 and open Thunder bird to check mail.

Its say..

Quote:
Connection to server X.X.X.X timed out
Connection to server pop.gmail.com timed out
Connection to server pop.aim.com timed out
Connection to server pop.gmx.com timed out

Mentioned here ... i used gmail.AIM.GMX, pop as long as.

I can't receive my mail and and can't send while other user can successfully use mail server.

I restart my machine nothing happened also restart my mail server.

I am pretty sure its not my mail server wrong.
because while I asked Thunderbird get mail no request sent to mail server.
Also I can checked my mail in my machine with other mail client like Evolution
I am confused whats wrong with Thunderbird?
I changed nothing in Thunderbird mail settings.

I can use other network resource samba, web server, internet.

Any help for me??

.

Is your Dovecot or Cyrus (or whatever) MRA running? Thunderbird doesn't talk to Postfix until you try to send a message. When you start Thunderbird it will connect to your IMAP or POP service first to collect or read new emails.

Is there anything in /var/log/maillog that might explain this? Can you telnet to port 25 from the client?

I solved this problem.

Something automatically made wrong in my Thunderbird mail settings while other mail client was working good.
What the bloody bugs in Thunderbird I don't know ????

I just remove all Thunderbird profile from /home/username/.thunderbird/

then add my account in Thunderbird
Now its working fine?
