Configuring mailx


Hi,

I am working as oracle dba as i have no idea about configuring mailx on Linux and more ever we don't have any Linux admins over here. I am requesting you people to please help me out in configuring mailx on our server.

We are u sing Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 7)

We'll be glad to....can you post some error(s) that you're getting? Tell us what you've tried?

There are how-to's on Google about mailx:

but again, we can't solve problems, if you don't tell us what they are. Also, be aware that mailx is the 'front end' piece of things. You need to set up some sort of mail program that actually does something with the mail. Do you have a mail server in your environment already?
