Question Configuring Bash (.bashrc) for use with Java

I need to modify my BASH configuration, so I can run some simple Java Apps. (I'm learning Java and Linux together..good ides???). Anyway, I want to modify the PATH, and CLASSPATH, which I believe hast to be done in .bashrc. Problem is, I cannot find this file anywhere to modify it.

I'm using FC3.

If anybody could give me some help I would be grateful. In fact a brief overview of the filesystem, what is wher would help.

Cheers

.bashrc should be a hidden, plain text file in your home folder
