Computer Name
 
How to you change the computer name of a Redhat 8/9 computer? I installed Linux, and it did not ask for a computer name. I wanted to give it a unique name so that I could recognize it on the network.

/etc/hostname or /etc/HOSTNAME
just put something in it

Changing the hostname in /etc/sysconfig/network will also work

u have to change both : /etc/sysconfig/network, and /etc/hostname, without one of them Linux will show error
