Hi all, I had some problems with my apm module in 2.4.29 and I would like to know if I can compile the apm module separately of the kernel because I don't want to compile everything again...
Distribution: Mandriva mostly, vector 5.1, tried many.Suse gone from HD because bad Novell/Zinblows agreement

Same question here.
I just want to recompile sata_sil.c
The sata_sil module I have works ok, (it is kernel module, i.e. not fully part of the kernel)
but I want just to do one change in one parameter
I have read about kernel compilation (make modules
make modules_install etc). But as a newbee, I do not want yet to
go to the full extent of kernel compilation
