compiling kernel 2.6.10 and I need driver i915

In order to use hardware OpenGL acceleration, I've been told I'll need driver i915 for support for my Intel 845GV graphics chip. My question is, is this something already a part of the 2.6.10 kernel, or will I have to get it from another source for when I compile the kernel?

Best way to find out is to start the compile, or at least do a "make menuconfig" or "make xconfig" and see if the support is there already. My guess is, if its not, probably the best place to look for the driver is Intel's site, they are usually Linux friendly in providing drivers.
