I want to enabled advanced routing so I can have simultaneous uploads and downloads on my 600k down 128k up cable connection.
I plan to use iptables, iproute2 and
dsl_qos_queue
In my distro, Mandrake 8 (or 8.1?), iproute2 and iptables are installed.
BUT
# ip rule list
gives an error:
RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument
Which means I need some other options enabled in the kernel relating to ip_queue?
right, I'm guessing it's something to do with
lib/modules/kernel/<MY KERNEL VERSION>/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_queue.o.gz
My other guess is that the .gz means its tarballed?
My other guess is that if untarred, it will make a kind of directory of ip_queue stuff that I can play with, hence change options and then recompile with this CONFIG_IP_NF_QUEUE option enabled?
PLEASE say I am on the right track?
