Clipboard Functionality

Hi all,

Is there clipboard functionality in Linux (Mandrake 10.1) whereby I can copy information from a file and then later paste that info in another file, without leaving the original file open - as in Windows.

Thanks

Pieter

As far as I know, the clipboard in Linux functions exactly the same as in Windows (Ctrl-C copies, Ctrl-V pastes...). And if you're using KDE, there should be an application in your system tray called Klipper. If you click on it, it will show you your clipboard history.

Even simpler -- highlight whatever it is you want to copy.
Middle click where you want to insert it.
*Voila!*
