changing my default shell after login?
i have an account in some server, and every time i login, it starts up csh, and i want bash to start (bash is enabled on the server, but not as default).
how can i make bash the default shell login? 10x. |
The default shell is specified for each account in the file /etc/passwd. So unless you have write permisions to this file, the only thing you can do is to talk with the owner/admin of the site, or to edit one of those files, that csh executes on startup. Unfortunetly, I have never tried to use csh, so I don't know wich file you are talking about.
