changing framebuffer image?

is there a simple way to change it, or does it require recompiling the kernel?

Hi,

The image is from a kernel file (/usr/src/linux/include/linux/linux_logo.h) so it's compiled in the kernel... so if you want to change it you'll have to recompile your kernel
