change wallpaper
KDE has an option for multiple wallpaper where you can select a directory and the wallpaper will rotate. This only allows you to change it in 1 minute increments. Is there a way to change it in 1 second increments, like a slideshow on the desktop?

I don't think that you would really enjoy something like that...I think that it could get to be quite annoying if your background changes every second and it would take a chunk of resources from your computer.
However, you can get a program that will let you change the background from 10 seconds increments to 5 minutes increments. I hope this helps. http://www.stonehenge.uklinux.net/do...download&cid=4 |
Have you tried putting the interval in as 0.016? Alternatively, if you're happy to go editing files, you could hunt through the files in ~/.kde and edit it by hand. Not sure which file it is, though, sorry.
Alternatively, if you run GKrellM, there's a plugin that can change your background (not sure if it works with KDE backgrounds, though), and you can set that to change on a stupidly quick timescale (I think). HTH |
I found the file in ~/.kde/share/config/kdesktoprc. I changed the ChangeInterval to numbers less than 1 and when I checked it again it was automatically reset to 60 minutes. So, I guess I will try something else.
