change the language

hello

i have now de_CH as language set for my linux box. unfortunately, all the lessages (help stuff) and all the GUI is in german too. how can I revert it to engleish?

as far as I know, I have to set the env variable LANG to "en" to have english messages. this is set up this way, but I still have german menus in all my gtk programs.

thanks for your help

You need to change you language not only setting up the LANG variable, but also in KDE or GNOME configuration (if you have both, in both). In GNOME it's Control Center, if I remember correctly, in KDE it's in the menu.

It's a solution, too. Important that it works now. :D
