Since the internet is accessed through port 80, I can't see how they can do this.
Unless they are somehow blocking non Internet Explorer browsers, in which case, open Konqueror and go to Preferences - you can get Konqueror to identify itself as IE.
No it isn't blocking non Internet Explorer browsers because IRC and other internet related programs don't work. I have the same internet configuration in windows and linux but in linux the internet doesn't work and in Windows it does.
No - I don't think it's possible (anyone, feel free to contradict me ). How has your ISP blocked non-Windows usage? If it's a dialer program, there may be a way around it.
