Change GTK and Qt theme without installing them? (plus an odd question or two)
I'm currently using xfce and am quite happy. However, I'm using a solaris-like theme with colors that clash when I load programs that use either GTK or Qt....in other words, I want to be able to change the theme that my GTK and Qt programs use such as OpenOffice and Opera. I don't want to install GNOME or KDE, since I have no use for either window managers, but that's the only way I know how to change themes so far. Any ideas?
Also, a few random questions conerning X. I'm finding that I can't seem to hold a key in X to get it to repeat, which is annoying when scrolling with the keyboard or backspacing over more than one charactor at a time. It does work in console, however. How do I fix this?
Also, I'm finding that in my Xterm's (and Eterms as well) , I can't seem to use alt key combinations (for example, in irssi) and am forced to use Esc instead. How do I fix this?
