Ok, this question may seem a little odd, but I'm hoping someone somewhere has come across it. I have a dual display setup with an Nvidia card using the latest drivers from Nvidia on a Debian system. Here's a screenshot of my desktop to kind of illustrate what I'm talking about
Do you see where there is kind of a line in the middle where the tiled background meets, well, that's where my cursor always starts at when booting up my machine. Unfortunately, that's also where a lot of my windows seem to pop up as well. I was wondering if there was any way to setup a position in the screen that is set for centering things like that when opening them. It isn't a big deal and I don't have to have it, it would just be nice. I'm thinking of maybe enabling the original Xinerama instead of using the Nvidia twinview. I've been reading up on it a bit and according to Nvidia, you can basically use Xinerama along with the Nvidia xinerama settings I think. But I'm not sure of how it works, I guess I'll just have to mess around with it till I get it right. Anyway, if anyone has come across this slight little problem I'm having, I would be greatly appreciative if you could give me a response on this, even if it is a link to another forum ^^.
